Coming to the package I worried how it will be delivered from Mumbai to Gangavathi (Near Hampi), surprisingly product was packaged with foam padding with multiple outer layer protected the box and product. This grip has been a life-saver on the job. I pack it with Panasonic's Eneloop rechargeable batteries (also highly recommended) and combined with the battery in the D500 the battery life with this grip lasted me a solid 9 hours (roughly 1500-2000 snaps). I even had some battery left at the end of the night.

If you're going to be using the D500 for any period of time longer than 3 hours at a time, I highly suggest you grab this battery grip. It also has the plus side of making the camera more stable in-hand.

Buying it from Gaffarbhaiandsons was one of the best buying experience online. Surprisingly it was cheaper than any of the online markets. All my pre buying queries were replied and responded instantaneously. The lens was sent wrapped in two layers of Styrofoam and cardboard boxes which is quite reassuring. Build quality is great and it can easily handle a telephoto lens. The leveling pan head is a nice feature on a monopod. This in-built pan head could be a little stiff when brand new, especially in cold temperatures but with a little use it should become smooth to rotate.
