Buying it from Gaffarbhaiandsons was one of the best buying experience online. Surprisingly it was cheaper than any of the online markets. All my pre buying queries were replied and responded instantaneously. The lens was sent wrapped in two layers of Styrofoam and cardboard boxes which is quite reassuring. Build quality is great and it can easily handle a telephoto lens. The leveling pan head is a nice feature on a monopod. This in-built pan head could be a little stiff when brand new, especially in cold temperatures but with a little use it should become smooth to rotate. Overall, happy with the quality of this product. As usual, no problems while dealing with the team at Gaffarbhai and Sons. A+++!

I've been using mine to sling a Nikon D500 + battery grip + nikkor 200-500 zoom lens on all-day hikes and walks. Attached to the tripod ring on the lens, the sling allows me to carry the combo at my hip, lens facing backwards with the camera body inverted where my hand falls perfectly to grab the grip and bring the camera/lens up to shooting position. It works equally well with a standard lens on the camera. The quick-adjusting travel limiters on the strap allow me to quickly "trap" the camera right at my hip when bending over, climbing up or over something or whenever I just don't want the camera moving around. I wish I'd bought one years ago.

The autofocus is not very fast but it does autofocus decently accurately when shooting outdoors. Indoors I found I had to switch to manual focus but the focus ring is very smooth and allows for very small adjustments. It does great for portraits, and you can really get close with the macro, and very good bokeh. Overall it is a great lens!

even after that you have space to carry other accessories, tripod, a 15 inch laptop & a full sized iPad.
Overall i am happy with the purchase, would recommend for wildlife photographers.
