The autofocus is not very fast but it does autofocus decently accurately when shooting outdoors. Indoors I found I had to switch to manual focus but the focus ring is very smooth and allows for very small adjustments. All this happened in about one hour from payment. I was very pleasantly surprised with the speed and efficiency at which things were progressing! I received the tripod on Monday afternoon in perfect condition. I am very happy with the unit. It feels solidly built and is quite light at the same time!
