The autofocus is not very fast but it does autofocus decently accurately when shooting outdoors. Indoors I found I had to switch to manual focus but the focus ring is very smooth and allows for very small adjustments. It does great for portraits, and you can really get close with the macro, and very good bokeh. Overall it is a great lens!

It sure helps me with my wildlife & specially bird photography. No more stress or pain on the arms or neck using the big zoom lens and excellent panning to capture the birds in flight etc... October 27, 2020 Recently got my Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 Lens. I was a little apprehensive buying a third party lens. But the... read more lens turns out to be a performer. Very sharp from centre to edges. No vignetting and colour fringing. All this at half the price of Nikon counterpart.
Buying it from Gaffarbhaiandsons was one of the best buying experience online. Surprisingly it was cheaper than any of the online markets. All my pre buying queries were replied and responded instantaneously. The lens was sent wrapped in two layers of Styrofoam and cardboard boxes which is quite reassuring. I have no apprehension about buying from Gaffarbhaiandsons again which i will be doing very often. I must thank Sameer Bhai all his help and information.
