At 53.3 inches with the central pole retracted it is quite tall and one does not have to crounch. Quater inch twist lock mechanism makes it really fast to assemble the legs. Lastly but not the least the item was delivered in a very well padded and protective box which is very thoughtful of you. I had a really nice experience. I am 5 ft 9 inched tall and felt very comfortable in handling a Nikon D750 with battery grip + Nikkor D500 pf lens on it.
