I got this lens for my D500 and I am pleased to say it more... read more than exceeded my expectations. The autofocus is not very fast but it does autofocus decently accurately when shooting outdoors. Indoors I found I had to switch to manual focus but the focus ring is very smooth and allows for very small adjustments. It does great for portraits, and you can really get close with the macro, and very good bokeh. Overall it is a great lens!

Coming to combo , its very stable and easy to balance my 5D M4 and 500 MM F4 IS2 combo. The supplied plate PL 100 is a bit short in my opinion & one might need a bigger lens plate or a QR lens foot. I find S2 a perfect fit, easy to carry, seconds to setup and fold up. I use it with my GH5 Lumix Panasonic.
