As Lens is already very heavy so bought this Carbon fibre tripod and Gimbal head GH5C also a carbon fibre Used at hilly area, on soiled area and rocky terrain. It is Rock solid and can be set within seconds, doesn’t wobble in windy weather. I recommended it to my friend also having same lens. Can be purchased confidently. <br... read more /> Product review: Benro VT2 Locking Base is quiet sturdy. Tested with a setup of Nikon D750 + Nikkor 500 mm 5.6 PF + Benro MSD 46C monopod + Benro GH2 gimbal head. If placed on a flat surface you need not even hand hold the setup (slight wobbling is there)
Obviously you won't take the risk when you are out on field. Overall a great product
