I've been using mine to sling a Nikon D500 + battery grip + nikkor 200-500 zoom lens on all-day hikes and walks. Attached to the tripod ring on the lens, the sling allows me to carry the combo at my hip, lens facing backwards with the camera body inverted where my hand falls perfectly to grab the grip and bring the camera/lens up to shooting position. It works equally well with a standard lens on the camera. The quick-adjusting travel limiters on the strap allow me to quickly "trap" the camera right at my hip when bending over, climbing up or over something or whenever I just don't want the camera moving around. I wish I'd bought one years ago.

Build quality is great and it can easily handle a telephoto lens. The leveling pan head is a nice feature on a monopod. This in-built pan head could be a little stiff when brand new, especially in cold temperatures but with a little use it should become smooth to rotate.
