Picture Control is Nikon’s simple image creation system. The Nikon D3500 incorporates seven types of preset Picture Control — Standard, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome, Portrait, Landscape and Flat — which you can select before shooting, according to the subject and situation. Each Picture Control option lets you fine-tune image characteristics, such as sharpening and contrast, depending on your own creative intentions. Picture Control can also be set using the guide mode.
Easy-to-hold grip and simple-to-operate design for comfortable shooting
The Nikon D3500 is designed to offer great image quality within a smaller and lighter D-SLR body than the D3400. It employs the same sophisticated monocoque structure as the D5600, allowing it to offer a slimmer form and deeper grip. The thumb rest space is now larger, while the operation buttons are concentrated on the right side and the playback button has been enlarged. All of these improvements give the camera a functional design that enables easy, comfortable operation with the right hand.
